Oak Grove, Alabama, is rich with history and bright with future promise. In a desire to preserve the charm and uniqueness of their home town, the residents voted in July 1966 to incorporate. Oak Grove is in Talladega County between the cities of Sylacauga and Childersburg. Highway 280 runs through the heart of Town and connects with several major county roads. The town boasts a lively business community and approximately 600 residents.
Elected officials and dedicated volunteers are actively planning Oak Grove’s future. There is a shared vision of business vitality and, at the same time, preservation of the peaceful and uncomplicated lifestyle residents enjoy.
Oak Grove currently provides public transportation, senior services, a walking track, park and pavilion. The Senior Center and pavilion are rented to the public for weekend events.
